Vladislav Yermolenko stopped 48 shots, including 22 in the third, leading to Ryerson Edgar's overtime winner as the IceDogs took down the Colts in Barrie 3-2 Saturday night.
Playing without six regulars, Krys Barch's team kept it scoreless through 20 minutes, outshot 13-11.
In the first minute of the second, Grayson Tiller fired home his 5th of the campaign against his former team with the assist going to Ivan Galiyanov. A pair of Barrie goals were offset by Haoxi Wang's power-play marker. His 6th of the season made it 2-2 after two periods. Yermolenko faced 15 Barrie shots.
In the third, all Yermolenko, he was perfect, blocking 22 and 48 through regulation. The IceDogs registered the only two shot of overtime, with Edgar's 23rd of the season as the game winner.
The "Cardiac Kids" were in evidence again. Of the IceDogs 31 wins, the winning goal 17 times has come after the half-way mark of the third or later.
The regular season comes to an end Sunday afternoon at the Meridian Centre with Erie providing the opposition. The Fan Appreciation event will get underway with the pre-game show on New Country 89.1 at 1:45.
