Woman charged after allegedly forging immigration documents for others

Niagara Regional Police have charged a Niagara Falls woman in connection to a fraud investigation.

Police say 41-year-old Aiza Andres, who was of Philippine descent, would gain the trust of Philippine immigrants and offer to assist them with immigration documentation, work permits and continuing education documents.  However, it's alleged she would charge a fee and in return utter forged documents.

As a result, she's charged with two counts of fraud under $5000, one count of fraud over $5000 and three counts of uttering forged documents.

Officials say it's possible she carried out similar offences throughout Ontario, and believe there may be more victims in Niagara.
