With the heavy snowfall, the City of St. Catharines has put a winter parking ban in effect.
The ban began at noon Thursday after the City declared a significant weather event.
On-street parking is restricted in most neighbourhoods to allow plows and emergency vehicles to operate.
Drivers who don’t move their vehicles could face a $40 fine and towing.
The ban is expected to remain in place for at least 72 hours, weather permitting.
