What's Good in Niagara? World Water Week at the Niagara Falls Water Treatment Plant

It's World Water Week, and this year's theme is "Water and Gender: where water flows, equality grows".

The Niagara Falls Water Treatment Plant in Chippawa offered a tour of their facilities to help people understand how our water is made safe to drink - right from the tap.

Dave Haley, Operations Manager at the plant, says the water treatment and filtration process in Niagara runs so smoothly that many don't realize how privileged they are.

He also says gender equality and diversity is especially important among his staff.

This plant provides approximately 45 million litres of clean drinking water to local residents every day.
