It is a busy time of year for food banks across the Niagara Region, including in Niagara Falls.

Fundraising Chair for the The Soup Kitchen Bonnie Brady says between back to school last month and some recent fundraiser, they're working on getting their shelves stocked.

Brady says while Thanksgiving, and even Christmas, are just around the corner, it's important to remember that places like The Soup Kitchen operate year round for those that need it.

The Soup Kitchen serves bagged lunches daily from 11:30am to 1:00pm at its front doors on Lawrence Avenue.
