$150,000 in funding will support local sports initiatives
Youth sports and recreation in Welland received massive boost of investment this week.
During a celebration event at The Empire Sportsplex yesterday, staff from the Welland Canadian Tire store presented a $150,000 cheque to Jumpstart Charities in support of local initiatives helping more kids and youth enjoy local sports and recreation.
Jumpstart COO Stuart McReynolds said he's excited to see this kind of investment in communities like Welland.
Holly Benedetti, Artistic Director at Femme du Feu, says she was surprised and uplifted by this financial support for their organization.
The celebration included activities for kids from local camps at Jumpstart's Multi Sport Court, located at the Sportsplex.
