The St. Catharines Terry Fox Run is coming up this Sunday in Port Dalhousie, and organizers are hoping the community can once again come together to support Terry's dream of finding a cure for cancer.
Last year's event was a record-breaker, raising about $116,000 and ranking 13th among Terry Fox Runs across Ontario.
St. Catharines Terry Fox Committee Chair John Grummett says the support is always overwhelming in the best ways.
While Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope happened more than four decades ago, Grummett says the story continues to reach new generations of Canadians even all these years later.
He says it's an event for everyone - whether you run, walk or bike - you're more than welcome to do so at your own pace.
You can make a donation to our team, Giant Knockerz, ahead of Sunday's run here.
