A chance to explore post-secondary education is coming up this weekend at Niagara College.

The college is hosting its annual Fall Open House at both the Welland Campus and the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake, welcoming prospective students and their families to explore programs, tour facilities and get a closer look at campus life.

Kendra Neaves, Associate Director of Student Recruitment and Engagement, says more than 800 people have already registered, with even more expected to attend.

She says the event is designed for people at different stages of their education journey, including a new offering this year for students in Grades 9 through 11.

Neaves says Niagara College wants visitors to feel comfortable exploring their options, whether they're just starting to think about post-secondary education or considering a return to the classroom.

The open house will feature opportunities to explore some of the college's unique programs and hands-on learning experiences, including its drone program, massage clinic and sports management simulations.

Visitors will also get a look at construction underway at the Welland Campus, where a new 75,000-square-foot health wing being built.

Those who register in advance have a chance to win one of 10 $100 gift cards. Anyone who registers and attends will also be entered for a chance to win a $5,000 tuition credit.
