Welland's former Fire Station #3 to be reopened as EMS hub

With Council’s approval, the City of Welland has finalized a two-year lease with the Regional Municipality of Niagara to transform the former Fire Station Number 3 into a Regional Emergency Medical Services facility.

The site’s central location, existing vehicle bays, and proximity to major transportation routes make it well-suited to support efficient EMS operations and timely emergency response across the region.

The agreement highlights a practical approach to community growth, ensuring a familiar building continues to serve residents in a new and essential role.
