Welland Mayor Frank Campion has directed City staff to prepare the 2026 Draft Mayor’s Budget under Ontario’s strong mayor powers.
The draft budget, focused on maintaining services and repairing infrastructure without adding new programs or staff, will be released November 4 and adopted December 4.
With inflationary pressures driving up costs, the City aims to leverage investment income and keep the burden on taxpayers as low as possible.
Council and residents will continue to have opportunities for input through presentations, drop-in sessions, and a structured amendment process.
