Proposed hub would include four hockey rinks, a gym and fitness space
The City of Welland is exploring plans for a modern recreation facility at 482 River Road to better serve its growing and diverse population.
Early concepts include four ice pads, a gymnasium, walking track, fitness space, and rooms for wellness services and community events.
The proposed hub would replace aging arenas and become part of a broader sports campus connected to Youngs Sportsplex.
Residents are invited to a public engagement session on June 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the LIV Communities Arena to learn more and share feedback.
