The City of Welland is getting international recognition for its mobile app.
The app has won a Gold Award in the 2026 dotCOMM Awards, which recognizes excellence in digital communications.
The app gives residents quick access to City news, events, recreation registration, permits, parking, service requests and emergency notifications.
The international competition received more than 2,000 entries from Canada, the U.S. and 22 other countries.
Welland’s free app is available on Apple and Android devices and is designed to make City services more accessible and convenient.
