An important program is returning to help those living on the streets of downtown St. Catharines.
Positive Living Niagara and REACH Niagara together have announced the relaunch of Welcoming Streets Initiative, a street-level operation designed to provide support for unhoused people while helping them navigate and connect to important health, housing, and social services.
The reimagined program will return with an improved focus on engaging with the business community, while bringing back the program's Block Leader role that allows people with lived or living street experience to give back through outreach and peer support.
