Niagara College and Walker Industries are growing their long-standing partnership with a new two-year agreement focused on sustainability and hands-on student learning.
Walker will provide about 500 cubic yards of soil, mulch and growing media each year for campus projects, greenhouse production and environmental restoration work.
College officials say the partnership gives students valuable real-world experience while helping reduce the school's environmental footprint.
Plans are also in the works for product testing and research trials through Niagara College's Horticultural and Environmental Sciences Innovation Centre.
