Two from Fort Erie charged in connection to drug investigation

Two Fort Erie residents are facing multiple drug trafficking charges following a Niagara Regional Police investigation that spanned several districts.

Police say the investigation began in April after officers observed suspected drug activity at a residence on Mississauga Avenue in Fort Erie.

On April 28th, detectives arrested a suspect in Welland before executing a search warrant at the home, where a second wanted person was also located and taken into custody.

Police say they seized cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, hydromorphone tablets and cash during the search.

48-year-old Laura Pearson of Fort Erie and 53-year-old Rosario Morin of Fort Erie are both charged with multiple drug trafficking and proceeds of crime offences.
