Two people are facing aggravated assault charges following an alleged road rage incident in Pelham earlier this month.
Police say a 64-year-old Pelham man was involved in a verbal argument with a man and woman from another vehicle on Highway 406, before the confrontation turned physical near Highway 20 and Merrittville Highway.
The victim suffered significant injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
NRPS detectives later identified two suspects and arrested 30-year-old Megan Williams of Welland and 31-year-old Donald Messervey of St. Catharines.
Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
