Toolbox Project Niagara merges with Start Me Up Niagara

Start Me Up Niagara has announced a merger with Toolbox Project Niagara, combining efforts to better support individuals and families facing poverty and homelessness.

Founded in 2017 by James Symons, Toolbox Project Niagara began by delivering care packages to unhoused men during the holidays and has since expanded to support women as well.

The program brings a strong volunteer base and loyal donors to its new home under Start Me Up Niagara.

Symons will continue to lead the initiative, and financial contributions will now be accepted through Start Me Up Niagara.

A list of needed items is available at startmeupniagara.ca, where residents can also learn about volunteering or participating in the Kits for a Cause program.

This year’s goal is to assemble 1,000 care kits for men and 500 for women staying in shelters.
