Canadian country star Tim Hicks brought plenty of smiles to Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre during a special visit with patients in the hospital's Parkinson's Rehabilitation Program.
Hicks spent time hearing patients' stories before performing an intimate acoustic set for patients, families and staff.
Hospital officials said the visit highlighted the impact of music and community support while shining a spotlight on Ontario's only dedicated Parkinson's Rehabilitation Program.
The visit comes ahead of the Light of Day Canada benefit concert on November 7 at the Meridian Centre, where Hicks will headline in support of the donor-funded program.
