Thousands of students will celebrate a major milestone at Brock University this week.
About 3,000 graduates are expected to receive their degrees during the university’s 119th Convocation, with seven ceremonies taking place from today to Friday.
The ceremonies will also recognize Tim Johnson, President of the Niagara Academy for Indigenous Relations, who will receive an honorary doctorate and deliver a Convocation address. University officials say family and friends can also watch the ceremonies online through Brock’s livestream service.
Niagara College kicked off its convocation ceremonies on Monday, with healthcare students being the first to cross the stage during both a morning and afternoon ceremony.
By the time Spring Convocation concludes on June13, NC will have conferred credentials on approximately 7,000 new graduates. Ceremonies will continue daily with ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Simplii Financial Centre at the Welland Campus.
