Thorold man arrested after thefts from local businesses

An arrest has been made after a string of stolen items from businesses in Thorold.

In January, Niagara Regional Police investigated after numerous concerns regarding the thefts. Officers eventually identified the suspect and, on February 14, 2026, arrested 37-year-old Dwayne Perkins of Thorold for several offenses going back to November 2025.

Perkins has been charged with the following:

  • 3 counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order
  • Theft under $5000.
