The City of St. Catharines has unveiled two new commemorative crosswalks honouring Canada’s veterans.
Designed as lasting tributes to the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have defended the nation, the crosswalks are located at Church and James Streets in downtown St. Catharines and at Main and Ann Streets in Port Dalhousie.
The downtown crosswalk sits prominently outside City Hall and marks the starting point of the city’s annual Remembrance Day Parade.
The Port Dalhousie crossing was installed in front of the Cenotaph memorial to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350.
