St. Catharines residents can once again pick up a free tree to plant at home.
The City’s Spring Free Tree Giveaway is now open, with a limited supply available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Residents can register online until April 22nd and choose from four species, including Red oak and Eastern white pine.
Pickup is set for April 25th at Lancaster Park from 8 to 11 a.m.
The city says expanding tree cover from about 22 percent to 25 percent by 2030 is a key environmental goal.
