St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe has officially entered the race for another term, filing his nomination papers ahead of this fall's municipal election.
Siscoe says his first four years in office were focused on laying a strong foundation for the city's future, highlighting the progress made despite a number of challenges along the way.
He says a second term would focus on building on that momentum to create a stronger, more vibrant community for residents.
Siscoe plans to unveil more details about his election platform over the coming months, with nominations for the October municipal election closing on August 21.
