
Niagara Regional Police have charged a St. Catharines man following a child abuse investigation.
On Thursday, August 21, at around 4:00 p.m., officers responded to a belated child abuse call in St. Catharines.
The investigation was quickly turned over to detectives from the Child Abuse Unit, who determined that a sexual assault had occurred.
As a result, 54-year-old Robert Caverley of St. Catharines was arrested.
He faces multiple charges, including sexual assault on a person under 16, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and uttering threats.
