The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling several Whole Foods Market products sold online in Ontario due to possible salmonella contamination.
The recall includes various salsas, guacamoles, pico de gallo and some prepared foods, including chicken quesadillas, with best-before dates up to August 16th.
The agency says the recall is linked to jalapenos from Mexico that have been associated with salmonella outbreaks in the United States, although no illnesses have been reported in Canada.
Consumers are being reminded that food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled and should be thrown out or returned.
