The Leisureplex sports fields and public washrooms at 2543 South Grimsby Road 6 in Smithville will close for the season at the end of October, with gates locking on November 1.
The seasonal closure helps protect the fields from damage caused by unauthorized vehicle access.
Gates will reopen in May 2026.
The playground remains open year-round, with limited parking available at the entrance for continued public access.
