Vishva and Kamlesh Sharma are marking nearly six decades of community involvement in Niagara with a $500,000 donation to the Niagara Health Foundation.
The couple arrived in Niagara in the late 1960s and have spent decades supporting local initiatives, including helping establish the region’s first Hindu temple.
The Sharma family says the donation is their way of giving back to a community that has given their family so much, with the money supporting healthcare services, innovation and patient care across Niagara.
Niagara Health Foundation CEO Andrea Scott says the family’s generosity and vision will have a lasting impact, helping ensure residents have access to exceptional care close to home.
The Sharma family says their goal is to leave Niagara stronger for future generations.
