A serious crash has resulted in a Welland man being airlifted to hospital.
Ontario Provincial Police say a dump truck and a passenger vehicle collided around 1:30 yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 58A and Canal Bank Street.
The driver of the car, a local 71-year-old, was airlifted with serious injuries, while the truck driver was brought to local hospital with minor injuries.
Anyone from the area with dashcam footage or who may have witnesses the collision is asked tor each out to OPP.
The area was closed for several hours for investigation, but has since reopened.
