Shipping through the Welland Canal is being reduced for the time being as crews continue to remove a derailed train nearby.
The CN rail train derailed near Glendale Avenue on the main line on Monday morning, with part of the train crossing over the Welland Canal. The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation says shipping will be down to one lane while repairs are done.
CN says the cause of the derailment is still under investigation, but that there were no injuries are any risk to public safety.
