It is a snow day for children in the Niagara Region today.
Niagara Student Transportation Services says because of a buildup in snow, all student transportation is cancelled across the region.
Because of this, schools are also closed for District School Board of Niagara, the Niagara Catholic District School Board, and the Niagara Children's Centre School Authority.
Brock University has cancelled all in-person classes and on-campus activities for the day at its St. Catharines and Burlington campuses, as well as the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts. Niagara College has followed suit, cancelling in-person classes and closing its campuses for the day. Online classes are expected to continue as normal.
Environment Canada says parts of Niagara could see up to 30cm of snow by the time it's all said and done.
