Samaritan’s Purse Canada volunteers are now helping St. Catharines residents with flood cleanup as recovery efforts continue.

The organization deployed a disaster relief unit to Niagara earlier this month following the major rainfall and flooding events.

Volunteer crews are now helping eligible homeowners remove flood-damaged materials, including drywall and debris, and spray affected areas to help prevent mould, all at no cost to residents.

The City is working through its Vulnerable Assistance Registry to identify households needing help, with priority given to those facing the greatest need.

Residents who still require cleanup assistance can register at the City’s flood recovery webpage.
