The Niagara Regional Police Service’s CORE unit has launched a focused initiative to monitor individuals released on bail in St. Catharines and Thorold following community concerns.
Over November and December, officers conducted compliance checks on ten people and found seven allegedly breaching their release conditions.
Three individuals were arrested and charged, including a 17-year-old who cannot be named, while four others remain wanted on similar charges.
Police have released incident numbers for the outstanding suspects as the search continues. In total, the initiative has resulted in ten additional charges being laid.
