Remains of woman found in Charles Daley Park being treated as a homicide

Niagara Regional Police are investigating after a woman was found dead at Charles Daley Park in Lincoln, an incident now being treated as a homicide.

A post-mortem examination led investigators to reclassify the case, and while the victim has been identified as a woman from outside the Niagara Region, her name is being withheld until next of kin are notified.

The scene has been examined and the park has since reopened to the public. Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of her death and are asking anyone who was at Charles Daley Park in the 24 hours before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, or who has information that could assist, to contact police.
