Quebec man arrested in stolen pick up truck investigation

Niagara Regional Police have charged a Quebec man following an auto theft investigation involving a stolen pickup truck.

On Sunday, October 5, a Thorold resident reported their 2023 Toyota Tundra stolen from their home. Police learned that two suspects were involved.

As NRPS investigated, Ontario Provincial Police officers spotted a Toyota Tundra with a shattered rear window being driven nearby. A traffic stop confirmed the vehicle was the one stolen from Thorold.

The driver, 26-year-old William Cardinal of Quebec, was arrested and returned to Niagara. No other suspects were in the vehicle.

Cardinal is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and breach of probation.
