Niagara OPP say the QEW in Fort Erie is slowly reopening between Netherby Road and Bowen Road following a collision this morning.
The crash, which was reported by police just before 8:30am, involved four vehicles including two tractor trailers and two cars, with some of them ending up in the ditch.
The highway was brought to a standstill and closed in both directions for over an hour as drivers were in the midst of their morning commute.
OPP officials say salters and snow plows are in the area working to maintain safe road conditions. You're reminded to always drive according to the conditions, and not the speed limit.
