Toronto-bound lanes on the QEW at Niagara Street in St. Catharines are closed this morning.
The closure comes as a result of a multi-vehicle collision around 8:00am, which has prompted a response from local fire and paramedic crews, as well as the OPP's Highway Safety Division. Officials say the crash included two tractor-trailers and four passenger vehicles.
Six individuals were involved in the collision and two people were transported to hospital with minor injuries. Police are asking residents to avoid the area and plan for alternate routes this morning.
