Ontario is spending $75 million on a new advertising campaign in the United States aimed at pushing back against proposed tariffs.
The ads feature audio from former U.S. president Ronald Reagan speaking in 1987 about how tariffs ultimately hurt American consumers.
Premier Doug Ford says Reagan’s words will resonate with Republican voters and help remind Americans of the strong trade partnership with Ontario.
The ad campaign begins this week on networks including Newsmax, Bloomberg, Fox, NBC, and ESPN.
