Corps will help vulnerable residents with cleanup

Premier Doug Ford has met with officials in Lincoln and St. Catharines to assess storm damage - two communities in the region that have declared a state of emergency.

According to Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff, The Rubicon Team of the Ontario Corps is being deployed to help with cleanup, help residents that may not physically be able to clean out their homes from flooding over the weekend.

Both areas have seen widespread flooding after a pair of major storms in the last two weeks resulting in nearly 300mm of rain across seven days.

We'll provide more details as they become available.
