Positive Living Niagara and REACH Niagara are continuing funding for the Welcoming Streets Initiative in downtown St. Catharines.
The program connects unhoused individuals with housing, health, and social supports, while also helping reduce non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services.
Organizers say the continued funding will help stabilize the program long-term and support outreach efforts, conflict de-escalation, and business engagement in the downtown core.
The Welcoming Streets Initiative operates Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 4:00pm in downtown St. Catharines.
