Canadians are being urged not to travel to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico right now, as violence explodes in the wake of a drug lord's death.
Global Affairs Canada is warning travellers of shootouts and explosions and says roadblocks have been set up in several cities across southwestern Mexico as violence escalates.
Several Puerto Vallarta-bound flights from Canada even turned around mid-journey, and headed back to Canada.
