Port Colborne exploring new ways to manage water, wastewater services

The City of Port Colborne is asking for public feedback as it explores a possible new way to manage water, wastewater and stormwater services.

A draft business case is now under review, looking at the creation of a City-owned Municipal Services Corporation that could help fund and deliver key infrastructure work.

Officials say the model could improve long-term financial sustainability as the city faces aging systems and some of the highest water and wastewater rates in Niagara and Ontario.

Public engagement sessions and an online survey are open until July 8.
