The Victoria Day long weekend marks the start of outdoor recreation season in Port Colborne.
Nickel Beach and Centennial-Cedar Bay Beach officially reopen Friday, along with the Discovery Spray Pad at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park.
City parks, washrooms, sports fields, tennis and pickleball courts will also reopen for the season.
Officials say several summer attractions are returning to Nickel Beach, including Splashtown Niagara, beach lounger rentals and the dog zone.
The city is also continuing dune restoration efforts and expanding accessibility features at the beach this year.
