NRPS says nobody was injured in the incident
Niagara Regional Police are searching for suspects in connection to a bank robbery in Wainfleet.
Yesterday just after 4:30pm, police say three masked suspects entered the Meridian Credit Union on Highway 3 with weapons including a handgun and a machete.
The suspects took off northbound on Highway 3 with cash in a white Honda Civic that's believed to have been stolen. All three suspects were similar in appearance. They were described as male, thin build, wearing dark clothing, skeletal masks, and gloves. Witnesses noted the suspects spoke with accents.
No employees or customers were injured, while police ask that anybody with information come forward.
