Niagara Regional Police say a vehicle involved in an incident in Lincoln has been found in flames in Mississauga.
On July 17th, 82-year-old Larry Pearce was struck and killed by his own Honda CRV while at Charles Daley Park, while Davy Rocchetti of no fixed address was named originally as a witness, then as a suspect.
Police say Pearce's SUV was then found on fire in Mississauga, while Rocchetti was the last person police believe to have driven it.
Rocchetti’s whereabouts remain unknown, and efforts are ongoing to locate him under the authority of a Canada-wide arrest warrant for second degree murder. Police say he was wearing a blue checkered or plaid shirt and was accompanied by a Pitbull-style dog, white with black and brown markings, on a green leash at the time of the incident. Authorities add that it's not longer believed he's with the dog.
Investigators are appealing to residents in the area of North Sheridan Way, Springbank Road, and Sevenoaks Drive in Mississauga who may have seen or heard anything suspicious between 8:10pm and 8:40pm on July 24, or who may have relevant surveillance or dashcam footage, to contact police.
