It was a busy weekend on local roads for police, with three stunt driving charges being handed out to local drivers.
Friday, a Niagara Falls man was stopped going 93km/hr in a 50 zone on Lyons Creek Road.
The next day, a Pelham woman was charged after being clocked at 102km/hr in a 60 on Highway 20 in Thorold.
On Sunday, police charged a Welland man after he was seen driving 99km/hr in a posted 50 zone, this one also on Lyons Creek Road.
All three suspects saw their licenses suspended for 30 days and their vehicles impounded for two weeks as a result, while the Welland driver has also been charged with failing to give their license and insurance, as well as driving while suspended.
