Plans in place for primary care with summer urgent care closures

South Niagara residents will have access to essential primary care this summer through a collaborative initiative between Bridges Community Health Centre, Niagara Medical Group, Portage Medical, and the Welland McMaster Family Health Teams.

Primary Care Access Clinics will operate on select dates at Bridges Community Health Centre locations in Fort Erie and Port Colborne.

These clinics, open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will provide walk-in care for non-emergency issues, and all Canadian residents are welcome.

This partnership helps fill the gap left by temporary summer closures at Niagara Health’s Urgent Care Centres.

Patients requiring lab tests or imaging will be referred to local services.
