Pharmacists are urging Canadians to get their annual flu shot as vaccination rates remain near decade lows.

Just 34% of Canadian adults got vaccinated during the last flu season, with Ontario’s rate slightly higher at 36%.

Pharmasave says the flu shot is also a good opportunity to check whether other vaccines and boosters are up to date.

Pharmacists can help people understand which immunizations may be recommended based on their age and health.

Canadians can also use Pharmasave’s online vaccine calculator for guidance, or contact their local pharmacy for information on flu shots and other vaccines.
