Patterson the hero as IceDogs beat Otters in OT

Riley Patterson picked the top corner, 2:47 into overtime to propel the IceDogs to a 4-3 win over Erie at the Meridian Centre.

A scoreless contest became 1-0 IceDogs when Ethan Czata scored his team leading 9th at 15:19. He was left wide open on the right after a left wing bank shot off the back wall from Kevin He.

In the second, after a pair of Otters tallies, Ryan Roobroeck ripped home this 5th on the power-play at the 19 minute mark. After Erie regained the lead, Ryerson Edgar hit for his 5th on yet another snipe at 4:54. Vladislav Yermolenko took over from that point, stopping 19 in the final period and 2 more in overtime before Patterson sent the home fans home happy.

Off until Friday, the IceDogs will host Brampton Friday and Kingston on Country Night Saturday. Both games begin with the pre-game show at 6:45 on the home of the IceDogs, New Country 89.1.
