Thousands across the Niagara Region are without power Sunday afternoon after a major storm rolled through the area.

Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. says close to 2100 customers in Niagara Falls and Lincoln are without power following the early-afternoon storm that resulted in tornado warnings.

Meantime, another thousand Hydro One customers in Thorold and Pelham are without power as well.

Some minor outages of less than 100 customers are also being reported in Welland and other parts of south Niagara by Welland Hydro and Canadian Niagara Power.

We'll provide more updates as they become available.
