Orchard Park Public School wins Niagara Region paint-a-plow contest

Students across Niagara got creative this fall as part of Niagara Region’s annual Paint-a-Snowplow contest, which invites local schools to transform snowplow blades into vibrant works of art.

Four Niagara Falls schools - Orchard Park, Valley Way, St. Vincent DePaul and St. John Henry Newman - took part, using paint, teamwork and school spirit to brighten up the plows.

Guest judges, including Niagara Falls City Councillor Lori Lococo, were impressed by the students’ creativity and collaboration when visiting the schools on earlier this month.

Orchard Park Public School’s colourful and imaginative design earned them top honours for this year’s contest.

All four plows are now proudly on display at Niagara Region Headquarters in Thorold before hitting the roads this winter.
